Coverage notes

  • The Professional and Subprofessional CSE-PPT records use separate display labels derived from the CSC source's combined official title for both levels.
  • CSE-FSO is only the qualifying stage. The CSC administers it with the DFA–Board of Foreign Service Examinations; it is not the complete Foreign Service Officer Examinations (FSOE).
  • CSC-COMEX and the Civil Service Digital Examination (CSDEx) describe how an examination is administered. They are not separate exam records.
  • CESO is a rank or appointment, not a CSC exam. The Career Executive Service Written Examination is administered by the Career Executive Service Board, not the CSC.
